A wide, low two-seater wrapped in one generous envelope of fabric, with a deeply buttoned seat and back, held in place by metal clamps. It sits low and wide, and the quilted seat is deep enough to curl up in, which gives it its relaxed, slightly retro look.
It suits a large living room, a loft, a studio or a hotel-style lounge, and it looks best with space around it. Keep the walls pale and the rug simple, and let the sofa be the soft, sculptural thing in the room.
About the colour: Terracotta is a baked-clay orange with a soft brown base, the colour of old floor tiles. It suits earthy, Mediterranean-style rooms with plaster walls, rattan and olive green.

Living with a Soriana style sofa
Give it room
The pieces are deep and rounded, so they look best with space around them rather than pushed into a corner.
Let the colour do the work
Burgundy, mustard and terracotta make the piece the star of the room; olive, midnight blue and black are calmer and sit well with wood and stone.
Mix a sofa and a lounger
Two loungers facing a two-seater make a conversation area without a single hard edge.
